Torn Mask

With the continuation of my mask series I came up with the idea of a person not only wearing a mask made up of different pieces but their body being the same, almost like Frankenstein's monster. Overall the painting is suppose to symbolize a person who has tried to piece himself together with different embodiments of what is expected, such as society's belief and or standards, families expectations, and just the struggles of day to day life.

This was an interesting painting to do, I don't feel it's completed quite yet, I still want to put stitches across the cuts.
